Joe Wilkinson, known for his appearances on Celebrity Traitors and Last One Laughing, is launching a new vodcast for Channel 4's YouTube channel. The series, titled Train-ing It with Joe Wilkinson, will see the comedian interview guests while travelling by train.
The five-part series, produced in partnership with Rail Delivery Group, kicks off with actor Michael Sheen as the first guest. Wilkinson and Sheen meet at London's Waterloo station and travel to Kingston, where Sheen is performing at the Rose Theatre. During the journey, Sheen reveals that a train trip back from Warwick University convinced him to pursue acting, leading him to work at Wales' first drive-through burger bar before attending drama school.
Other guests include Nick Mohammed, Wilkinson's fellow Celebrity Traitors contestant. Wilkinson, who describes himself as a train enthusiast, said: 'I genuinely love trains and I love chatting to folk, so I am thrilled to be doing this show.'
Channel 4's Digital Commissioning Executive Stephen Parnell said the show combines Wilkinson's love of rail travel with curiosity about his guests, offering 'a warm and witty celebration of travelling across the UK by train.' Train-ing It with Joe Wilkinson premieres on Channel 4's YouTube on 27 March.
