Isa Guha Replaced by Laura Robson at BBC Wimbledon

BBC viewers tuning into Wimbledon coverage on Sunday, July 5, saw a familiar face missing from the presenting team. Isa Guha, who typically hosts the morning segment of the Championships, was absent from SW19 as the tournament entered its second week.

Laura Robson Steps In

Former British tennis player Laura Robson filled in for Guha and announced the change at the start of the broadcast. “What a day. If you love sport, what a treat, what an incredible line-up all round. Here at Wimbledon, it's middle Sunday and the last 16 matches are getting underway,” Robson said. She explained that Guha was at Lord's to present the Women's T20 Cricket World Cup final between England and Australia.

Robson added: “That's where Isa is today, so I'm on top of the tennis - she's on top of the cricket.” She also mentioned the England men's football match against Mexico and the British Grand Prix as other major sporting events happening that day.
