The latest series of I'm A Celebrity All Stars has captivated viewers, but behind the scenes, it has proven to be the most chaotic run yet. On Tuesday night, the show experienced its biggest row yet when Adam Thomas engaged in a verbal clash with Jimmy Bullard after the former footballer forfeited the Bushtucker Trial in an attempt to leave the show.
This sudden decision sparked a major fallout between the pair. Adam launched into an expletive-laden rant at Jimmy for effectively sending him home as well. However, after the heated exchange, hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly asked the rest of the campmates if they were happy with Adam returning, leading some fans to accuse the show of being 'fixed.'
Sources have since claimed that Jimmy is now in a battle with bosses over his refusal to attend Friday's live final. This is just the latest drama to rock the ITV show, which has struggled to keep spoilers under wraps after a fan site leaked Beverley Callard's departure, while Craig Charles has also appeared to let slip that he makes it to the final four.
Viewer Reactions and Fallout
The drama has sparked a sea of reactions from fans online. One wrote on X: 'This show is a shambles lol.' Others added: 'The producers will also be regretting this pairing thing as it'll mess up the duos task across the coming days. Although they might think the drama has been worth it...' Another commented: 'FRUSTRATING why didn't he just quit the day before allowing GC the chance to still be in there. Honestly this doesn't mess up Adam's chances of winning this.'
Viewers were aghast on Tuesday as Jimmy sensationally decided to quit I'm A Celebrity by ditching the trial Rancid Run. He and Adam had been paired up for the challenge, meaning if one of them gave up, they would both be sent home. The feud saw Adam shout after Jimmy's decision to quit: 'If you f*****g wanted to go. Don't take me with you. What is up with you? All you have to do is run through some mud and you said "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here."'
Jimmy replied: 'It ain't about that. I wanted to go home.' Adam said: 'Well, go home then in camp. Don't do it on my f****g watch. A quitter bro, I don't quit.' The actor later broke down in tears as he admitted he regretted losing his temper and had wanted to do his children proud.
Meanwhile, Jimmy said: 'Letting Adam down is a killer. He is on a different journey for me, he wants to do well. I get it. I got my mum and dad at home, the old man ain't too well. I struggled so much. It's got harder and harder. Unfortunately my time was up in the game.'
Accusations of a Fixed Show
The move to allow Adam back into the camp has sparked accusations from viewers that the show is 'fixed.' Fans wrote on X: 'Rules are rules and Adam should have to leave too regardless of whether you agree with Jimmy's calling out. I'm just a stickler for the rules, I guess.' Another said: 'It might not seem ‘fair’, but you can’t just change the rules and save Adam because Jimmy didn’t give it a go… Rules are rules. Giving the choice to the camp mates so you can blame the rule change on “well the camp said he could stay” is a cop out.'
Others added: 'So Adam was allowed to stay because he cried?.. If he’d have accepted it, like Harry would have for example, they’d not have asked about him staying'; 'Hate it when rules get changed. There's a reasons for rules, stick to them'; and 'So Adam was allowed to stay because he cried? If he's have accepted it, like Harry would have for example, they'd not have asked about him staying.'
Other Departures and Leaks
Jimmy wasn't the only star to quit the star-studded spin-off. Beverley tearfully told her campmates earlier in the episode she would be leaving on medical grounds after a 'funny turn.' Four months after filming, she was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer. In an Instagram video, Beverley explained: 'I just watched my exit on I'm A Celeb and it made me cry all over again. Of course, I didn't know then that I had cancer but I just knew that it was the last couple of days there that I hadn't felt very well. What happened was, I went into the Bush Telegraph and apparently, I lost consciousness for a little while. I just wasn't feeling myself. They took me to a medical hut and they were amazing. They really looked after me and they said "you can't go back". And I said "don't say that, don't send me home, I'll be fine". I wanted to succeed and make it through to the end but that was the start of everything. It's made me really emotional but I will beat this. I will beat it.'
On the show, Beverley told camp: 'I've got something to tell you all. I didn't feel very well this morning and I had a bit of a funny turn and they've said I can't come back in I've got to go. I'm absolutely gutted. I don't want to go.' Bosses had attempted to keep Beverly's unexpected departure under wraps, but it was unfortunately leaked on a fan site just hours before it was due to air.
Craig Charles has also appeared to let slip he makes it to the final four on the show, three days before the finale is due to take place. Unlike I'm A Celebrity All Stars' previous run, this one features a live public vote during the grand final in London on Friday to crown the winner. Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Craig said: 'I have really enjoyed the experience. I got to do the whole journey, I got so far in.' Realising he may have let slip part of the series' outcome, Craig quickly added: 'I can’t tell you if I made it to the finale can I?'
