The final of I'm A Celebrity... All Stars descended into chaos, with over 1,000 complaints lodged with Ofcom. The ITV show saw Adam Thomas crowned winner, but the episode was marred by a row involving Jimmy Bullard, who described Adam as "intimidating, aggressive and abusive" following the Rancid Run trial. David Haye also continued to goad Thomas amid allegations of bullying in the jungle.
Ofcom confirmed it received 1,187 complaints during the final, with the majority relating to alleged bullying behaviour from Bullard and Haye towards Thomas. Adam has since spoken out, saying the experience has "tarnished" the show for him. On his podcast, he said: "The fact that it's just been turned into entertainment for live TV, for a family show that I loved... it's sad now because the way I always looked at this show, it's tarnished for me."
Thomas described feeling as though he had "sold his soul" and said he would not repeat the experience for any amount of money. He added: "When they were announcing the winner, I just felt the colour drain from my face... the one time I do [win something], that's how it goes out." He contrasted his win with his son's joy at a dance competition, saying he wanted to feel that same joy.
