EastEnders fans saw Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) sent to prison this week after being declared over the limit when his car reversed into Jordan Fox (Jahsiah Williams). The local councillor learned he might face jail, but relief came when Jordan showed signs of improvement. Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) felt guilt over shouting at Jordan moments before the incident and resolved to speak at court, but she failed to arrive in time. Ian was sentenced to eight months behind bars.
Gray Atkins Spots His Target
Ian was devastated as he prepared for life in prison, but things took a darker turn when serial killer Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) spotted him from afar. Gray is on a mission to get closer to his son Jordan, using his nan Sheila (Sheila Ruskin) to gather information. However, Denise Fox (Diane Parish), who is battling cancer, asked Sheila to stay away from Chelsea after discovering her presence.
Gray was unhappy that Ian only received eight months, and in Tuesday's (July 28) episode, he observed the councilman in jail. In upcoming scenes, Ian is targeted by fellow inmates, but that soon becomes the least of his worries when he crosses paths with Gray.
What Does Gray Have in Store?
It remains unclear what Gray plans for Ian. Will he use Ian to get closer to Chelsea, or will he hold Ian responsible for Jordan's accident? Ian is known to be back on screens and out of prison by New Year's Day, as seen in the Max Branning flashforward episode, but how much trouble Gray will cause before then is yet to be revealed.
