Hunting Wives Stars Target Emmy Awards For 2025

The Hunting Wives, the Netflix series produced by Lionsgate and 3 Arts Entertainment, will submit in the comedy categories for this year's Primetime Emmy Awards, Variety has learned exclusively. The show, based on May Cobb's bestselling novel, blends social satire with psychological intrigue.

Premiering in July 2025, the series follows Sophie (Brittany Snow), who moves from Cambridge, Massachusetts, to suburban Texas for her husband's job. She meets Jed (Dermot Mulroney), a right-wing political climber, and his wife Margo (Malin Åkerman), leading to an obsessive and sexual relationship.

Brittany Snow and Malin Åkerman will both be submitted in the lead comedy actress category. They will compete against Emmy winners such as Quinta Brunson and Jean Smart. Snow also has a supporting actress nomination for her role in another Netflix series, The Beast in Me.
