On Mother's Day (May 10), a host of Hollywood celebrities took to social media to honour their mothers and celebrate motherhood. For some, the occasion was particularly poignant, with Savannah Guthrie's mother missing since earlier this year and Laura Dern having lost her mother, Diane Ladd, late last year. For others, such as Hailee Steinfeld and Millie Bobby Brown, it was a first celebration of the day.
Pink's husband, Carey Hart, shared a photograph of the singer with their children, Willow and Jameson, describing her as an "amazing mother" who is "raising some amazing humans who will change the world". Demi Moore posted a tribute to her daughters, recalling the first time she held each of them and expressing her love. Katherine Schwarzenegger shared photographs with her mother, Maria Shriver, as well as her own daughters with Chris Pratt, praising her mother's "beautiful, effortless" parenting. Tim McGraw posted a picture featuring his wife, Faith Hill, and his mother, Elizabeth Ann D'Agostino, writing that "everything good in me came from these remarkable women".
Kelly Ripa shared a series of photographs of herself with her three children, reminding followers that "the days are long but the years are short". Gwyneth Paltrow posted a photo with her daughter Apple Martin and mother Blythe Danner, sending love to "all of the amazing women who shaped us". Emma Heming Willis shared images of her daughters with Bruce Willis and her own mother, Zorina Heming, reflecting on being raised by a single parent and the lessons she learned.
Nicole Kidman addressed her daughters, Sunday and Faith, writing that "the greatest joy is being your mother". Gisele Bündchen, who welcomed her son River with husband Joaquim Valente in early 2025, shared rare photographs of the baby and spoke of the joy of motherhood.
