Hollyoaks Live Tour Cancelled Ahead of Show Revamp Due to Low Ticket Sales

The Hollyoaks Live tour, an external production featuring cast members from the Channel 4 soap, has been cancelled due to poor ticket sales. The tour was scheduled for October in Manchester, Glasgow, and London, with meet-and-greet tickets priced at £161.

Cast members including Nick Pickard, Kieron Richardson, Jorgie Porter, Gary Lucy, and Ashley Taylor Dawson were set to appear. A source said the promoter "massively overestimated the appeal" of a live stage show for Hollyoaks' core audience, many of whom are teenagers, and the decision was made to avoid a loss-making venture.

Refunds will be offered to ticket holders via the venues. A spokesperson for the tour, organised by Maple Tree Entertainment, stated: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, the planned theatre events ... are not going to take place as planned." Hollyoaks and Channel 4 had limited involvement in the planning.

In contrast, ITV's Coronation Street is proceeding with a live theatre tour titled "An Audience with Coronation Street", with tickets over £30. The tour will feature cast members including Andrew Whyment, Jack P Shepherd, and Simon Gregson, hosted by Sharon Marshall, and will include behind-the-scenes stories and a surprise legend.
