Hollyoaks Stars Quit as Harry French Exits After Six Months

Hollyoaks is set to lose two of its stars as actor Harry French has reportedly finished filming his final scenes after just six months on the soap. French, who plays the corrupt police officer and sexual predator Sully, made his debut in 2025 as part of the show's 30th anniversary celebrations and also featured in Hollyoaks Later. The Sun has revealed that he has chosen to move on and try something new.

A source told The Sun: "Sully's a truly evil villain and there will be explosive consequences as he pays for what he's done." The insider added: "Harry knew going into the show that there would be an end to Sully but he's loved his time there and is looking forward to doing new things."

Meanwhile, soap legend Alex Fletcher has also quit, according to the Daily Star. The 49-year-old, who has been at the heart of Hollyoaks for over a decade, told bosses of her decision towards the end of last year and will film her emotional exit in the coming months. Her departure will mark the end of one of the soap's most popular couples, with rumours rife that she could be killed off.

A Hollyoaks source said: "Alex is one of the show's most popular characters both on and off screen – everyone just adores her. She has been at the heart of Hollyoaks alongside Nick for more than a decade and bosses are gutted she's leaving. But they are doing everything they can to come up with a memorable and fitting exit for her much-loved character."

Liverpool-born Alex shot to fame as a teenager playing Jacqui Dixon in Brookside, and her departure from Hollyoaks will see her part ways with on-screen husband Tony, played by Nick Pickard.
