Three new actors have joined the cast of Hollyoaks as the Channel 4 soap celebrates its 30th anniversary. Leo Cole, Brook Debio and Chloe Atkinson will take over the roles of Ro, Ant and Dee Dee Hutchinson, the children of Tony and Diane Hutchinson, played by Nick Pickard and Alexandra Fletcher.
The trio will make their debut on Monday, October 20, during the anniversary week, appearing at their characters' parents' wedding. Leo Cole steps into the role of Ro, previously played by Ava Webster, while Brook Debio and Chloe Atkinson take on Ant and Dee Dee, roles formerly held by Lacey Findlow and William Thompson respectively.
Chloe Atkinson expressed her excitement, saying: 'I am so excited and grateful to be joining the cast of Hollyoaks as Dee Dee Hutchinson. My time here so far has been truly amazing, and I cannot wait to continue the journey.' She also paid tribute to her predecessor, Lacey Findlow, describing her portrayal as 'incredibly well'.
Brook Debio, who previously appeared in a special episode of Coronation Street as a young Kit Green, said: 'It's been so exciting joining the cast of Hollyoaks as Ant Hutchinson. It's a real privilege to be part of a well-established and welcoming family.' Leo Cole also shared his gratitude on social media, thanking his agency and the Hollyoaks team for the opportunity.
Aubrey Burgess continues in her role as Eva Hutchinson, the youngest daughter of Tony and Diane. The recasts mark a significant shake-up for the long-running soap as it enters its fourth decade on air.
