Hollyoaks Quietly Recasts Returning Character Faith Hudson

Hollyoaks has quietly recast the role of Faith Hudson, who is set to return to the Channel 4 soap after a three-year absence. The character, daughter of Liberty Savage (Jessamy Stoddart) and the late Brody Hudson, was previously played by twins Elsie and Lyla. Now, child actress Lottie Tatton has taken over the role.

Faith was last seen in 2022, living in New Zealand with her uncle Denis (Joe Tracini). However, following Denis's off-screen death, Faith will return to Chester to reunite with her mother. The recasting was announced on the Facebook page of The Drama Mob, an acting school run by former Coronation Street star Tina O'Brien, which congratulated Lottie on her debut.

Fans have expressed excitement about the return, with one commenting: 'My face lit up when I seen her, I'm excited to see how she blossoms.' Another noted: 'I've been wondering where she's been and noticed the recent at nursery comment which I guess was leading up to her debut.'

Faith's return comes amid a dramatic storyline involving Liberty, who has been having an affair with Jez Blake (Jeremy Sheffield). Earlier this year, Liberty dressed as Jez's deceased ex-wife to win his affections, and the summer trailer has hinted that Jez is a serial killer facing exposure.

Hollyoaks airs Monday to Wednesday on E4 at 7pm, with first-look episodes available on Channel 4 from 7am.
