Former Hollyoaks actor David Tag has announced his engagement to girlfriend Abi Harrison after a romantic proposal in Ibiza. Tag, who played Sylver McQueen on the Channel 4 soap from 2018 to 2022, got down on one knee during a sunset on the Mediterranean island.
The couple shared the news on Instagram, posting photos and a short video showing beauty therapist Abi accepting the proposal with a kiss in front of the ocean. Tag wrote: 'This years Ibiza turned out to be a bit more eventful than normal.'
Fellow Hollyoaks stars quickly congratulated the pair, including Chelsee Healey, James Sutton, and Owen Warner. The couple have been together since 2019 and moved in together during the first COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. They welcomed their first child, Reuben, in 2021 and their second son, Kaspar, in September 2023.
Tag also spoke about his struggles with varicose veins during his time on the soap, revealing he underwent laser treatment on both legs after the condition became painful and affected his work on set.
