Hollyoaks has finally confirmed the true identity of Jenson Cole (Ryan Clayton), revealing he is an undercover cop. The twist comes in Wednesday’s (August 19) episode, now available on Channel 4 streaming, with the E4 broadcast at 7pm.
Jenson’s Deceptive Past
Jenson had been a mysterious figure since arriving in the village. Earlier this year, he revealed he is the biological brother of Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas), after conducting a secret affair with Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe). Despite this, Jenson idolized Warren, who later believed he had killed him.
However, the person Warren shot was not Jenson but one of Gemma Johnson’s (Tisha Merry) heavies. Gemma, still in love with Warren, had helped Jenson fake his death, and she was surprised by his comeback.
Undercover Revelation
In a shocking turn, Jenson met in secret with his handler Alison (Lauren Dickenson), who berated him for ‘operating off book’ and said she was bringing him in. Jenson urged her for more time, revealing he could get her both Warren and Gemma, who has taken over Froggy Black’s (John Middleton) operation.
Alison suggested a debrief, but Jenson stormed off, determined to complete his mission. The question now is whether he can take down Warren, and if his feelings for his brother are real, leaving him torn between love and duty.
