Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones have confirmed BBC Morning Live's return, reuniting in a social media post ahead of the daytime programme's comeback.
Gethin appeared on BBC Breakfast on Monday, August 24, sharing the news that a series of Top Tips and Best Bits will air for a week before the live shows continue.
Presenters share behind-the-scenes video
In a video on Instagram, Strictly Come Dancing star Helen said: "We are in the Morning Live studio after hours, after hours for us is midday!" Gethin replied: "That's not what the show is called though!" Helen went on: "It's called Top Tips and Best Bits."
Gethin continued: "It's coming to you very soon, you'll see all the details below, and what we've done is put all our favourite bits and bobs, best tips, life-saving, life-changing advice together on one show for you to enjoy," reports Wales Online.
Fans react to the announcement
Helen added: "There's a load of hacks, we love a hack, anything that can make your life easier. We've particularly honed in on the things that you guys have said have helped you and been game-changing." Gethin concluded: "Helped you save time and money, enjoy the show across the week, we'll see you on-air."
One fan wrote: "Thank god your back. TV mornings are NOT the same without the Morning Live squad!" Another said: "Love you two together!" "Brilliant double presenters," a third hailed, as someone else wrote: "Ahh, always good to see you two x." "I cannot wait. Missed you all so much," yet another fan said, while one added: "Miss you all."
Gethin confirms live shows return next week
Speaking on BBC Breakfast earlier on Monday, August 24, Gethin confirmed that after a week of Top Tips and Best Bits, the Morning Live team would be "back with a bang" from next Monday.
He added to presenters Sally Nugent and Ben Thompson: "Looking forward to being back with you all for sure, but trying to make the most of the last few days of sunshine in Scotland." The presenter is currently cycling with Sir Chris Hoy, who also appeared on BBC Breakfast, saying they were having "a lot of fun".
Celebrating his BBC Breakfast documentary, Sir Chris Hoy: Cancer, Courage and Me, being nominated for a National Television Award in the Authored Documentary category, Sir Chris told Sally and Ben: "Obviously, you guys were a massive part of the documentary about Sarra and myself so that will be exciting, as well. It's been an exciting few days."
Sir Chris announced in 2024 that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer, that had spread to his pelvis, hip, spine and ribs. At the time, doctors had told him he had between two and four years to live. The star is now preparing for his annual charity cycling event, Tour de 4, which raises funds for UK cancer charities.
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am followed by Morning Live on BBC One and iPlayer.
