Helen Flanagan cast as Evil Queen in Liverpool panto

Former Coronation Street favourite Helen Flanagan is trading the cobbles of Weatherfield for a poisoned apple, as she's been officially cast in one of pantomime's most iconic villainous roles.

The actress, famed for her long-running role as Rosie Webster in the ITV soap, will send shivers down the spines of audiences this festive season. She is set to play the magnificently wicked Evil Queen in a lavish new production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

A Star-Studded Cast for a Liverpool Christmas

The magical production will take over the stage at Liverpool's prestigious M&S Bank Arena for a five-week run, promising to be a highlight of the city's Christmas calendar. Flanagan won't be alone in bringing this classic tale to life.

She'll be joined by a host of famous faces, including Stephanie Davis (Hollyoaks) in the titular role of the kind-hearted Snow White. Providing the laughs will be comedy legend Les Dennis, who takes on the part of the hapless and hilarious Mrs. Nora Crumble, one of the Queen's unfortunate servants.

Completing the stellar line-up is Adam Rickitt, another Coronation Street alumnus, who will charm audiences as the handsome Prince Harry of Heswall.

From Soap Star to Storybook Villain

Expressing her excitement about the role, Flanagan revealed it's a dream part for her. "I am so excited to be playing the Evil Queen," she said. "She is the ultimate panto villain and I can't wait to get into costume and bring her to life. It's going to be so much fun!"

The production is set to be a spectacular affair, featuring all the traditional panto elements audiences love: breathtaking sets, fabulous costumes, show-stopping song and dance numbers, and plenty of opportunities for booing and hissing.
