Helen Flanagan has taken on the role of the Wicked Queen in this year's production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves at Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena. The former Coronation Street star is part of a cast that includes returning favourites Bippo and Andy Brennan.

The pantomime, described as a true Christmas tradition, features Bippo as Muddles, who is the clear audience favourite, leading interaction and telling saucy jokes. His partnership with Dame Dolly, played by Andy Brennan, is highlighted as hilarious and well-coordinated.

Flanagan clearly relishes her villainous role, playing up to the boos and hisses from the audience while storming the stage in a sparkly red gown. Her entrance is heralded by flames and pyrotechnics, though these proved overwhelming for some youngest audience members.

Other cast members include Ellis Lloyd as Snow White and Rebecca Lake as Fairy Fortune, both delivering strong vocal performances. The production is noted for its slick sets, bright costumes, and inventive projections, including the magic mirror.

The two-hour show features participatory elements like singing, dancing, and a cream pie scene that delighted children. The reviewer compared the experience to a workout, noting the audience is actively engaged throughout.
