Wednesday season two has arrived on Netflix, and fans were surprised to see Heather Matarazzo, best known for playing Lilly Moscovitz in The Princess Diaries, appear in the series. The 42-year-old actress portrays Judi, an executive assistant at Willow Hill Psychiatric Hospital.
In the first part of the new season, Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) visits the hospital to confront Tyler Galpin, but first encounters Judi, whose cheerful demeanor and colourful jumper clash with Wednesday's morbid personality. Viewers quickly recognised Matarazzo, sparking excitement on social media.
However, Judi's role expands in the midseason finale, where she is revealed to be The Avian, the villain controlling murderous crows. She is continuing the work of her father, Stonehurst, who experimented on outcasts to transfer their powers to normies. Judi herself was a normie before becoming an Avian.
Matarazzo previously starred in Scream and Scream 3 as Martha Meeks. Her casting adds a nostalgic twist to the supernatural drama, leaving fans eager to see how her storyline unfolds in part two.
