Gwendoline Christie has teased that her character, Principal Weems, may return for the second season of Netflix's Wednesday, despite meeting a tragic end in the first season finale.
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, the actress noted that viewers have not seen the character buried, adding: 'I feel like Larissa Weems would not really be prepared to entertain or be dominated by anything as commonplace as death.'
Christie also reflected on her character's actions, which led to her apparent demise. She described Weems as someone who embraces the world and takes chances, preferring to take a 'stab at an idealistic world' rather than exist in isolation.
The former Game of Thrones star added that Weems is 'firmly cemented in her outsider status' and harbours a 'healthy disregard and suspicion for normies', yet strives for harmony between the outcasts at Nevermore and the normie community.
Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega in the title role, also features Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzmán as Morticia and Gomez Addams. Guzmán recently praised his on-screen chemistry with Zeta-Jones.
