The Great British Bake Off has returned for its 2025 season, with hosts Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond at the helm. This week's episode focuses on chocolate, featuring tasks such as fiddly mousse cups, a white chocolate tart, and a fondue display. Just eight bakers remain in the competition.
The remaining contestants bring a variety of backgrounds and styles. Aaron combines French patisserie with Caribbean flair and is currently experimenting with Asian flavours like miso and yuzu. Iain, who mixes live music with sourdough, aims to rewrite the Bake Off legacy of 'Iain from Belfast'. Jasmine uses baking as a creative outlet alongside her medical career, while Lesley, a hairdresser of 45 years, has been baking since she was ten.
Others include Nadia, inspired by her Italian chef dad, and Nataliia, who follows traditional recipes from her grandmother. Toby takes a stripped-back, healthy approach with classic recipes, and Tom, who recently reconnected with baking, brings a creative flair. Jessika, a drag king who enjoys gifting bakes, Pui Man, a wedding dress designer who rediscovered baking during lockdown, Leighton, who plays with Welsh and American flavours, and Hassan, a scientist with a fondness for praline, also remain in the tent.
