Grand Tour Fans Divided Over New Hosts Teaser

Prime Video has released a teaser for the rebooted Grand Tour, introducing new hosts Francis Bourgeois, James Engelsman, and Thomas Holland. Fans are split, with some expressing nostalgia for the original trio and others embracing the change.

New Hosts Take the Wheel

The new series, arriving on September 4, sees the original hosts Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May replaced. The teaser shows the new trio pushing old cars down a hill, with a narrator joking about swapping worn-out knobs, a metaphor for the host change.

One fan commented, "I am sorry, but it simply won’t be the same… The iconic trio made us laugh and made our day, and they will stay in our hearts. There is just nothing that can replace them." Another said, "These lot have GIANT shoes to fill," while a third bluntly stated, "No."

Mixed Reactions

However, some fans are optimistic. One viewer remarked, "This is the most hilarious meta joke that you could have possibly pulled!" The teaser also shows Bourgeois, a train enthusiast, saying, "That's us," as the narrator continues, "And just like that, you are ready to go again."

The show will feature the trio tackling motoring's most pressing and delightfully absurd questions across challenging terrains, including the Angolan desert, Malaysia's car culture, and California for performance car tests. All six episodes will launch at once on Prime Video.
