Gogglebox favourites Dave and Shirley Griffiths have been flooded with support from fans after sharing an update on their dog Rupert, who underwent spinal surgery earlier this year. The Welsh couple, known for their witty commentary on Channel 4's hit show, posted an adorable photo of their two French Bulldogs, Rupert and Bleu, dressed in festive jumpers on Instagram.
The caption read: "All ready for winter walks." Fans quickly responded with messages of love, with one commenting: "Ah they look so cute, all ready for walkies," while another added: "Omg they are gorgeous." A third fan described the pair as "little beauties."
Rupert, who joined the Griffiths household in 2021, underwent spinal surgery in July. At the time, Dave and Shirley kept followers updated on his recovery. Now, several months on, the pup appears to be doing much better, much to the delight of their 212,000 Instagram followers.
Dave and Shirley, who have been married for 50 years, first appeared on Gogglebox in 2015 and have since become firm favourites. They have returned for the latest series, which started earlier this year, alongside new cast members including Jake and Calum from Glasgow, the Gordon family from Surrey, and married couple Andrew and Alfie from the Cotswolds.
