Gogglebox favourite Sid Siddiqui has returned to the show after missing last week's episode, prompting relief among viewers. The beloved Channel 4 programme aired its latest instalment on Friday evening (September 12), with Sid back alongside his sons Umar and Raza.
The Siddiqui family, who have been part of Gogglebox since its debut series in 2013, are known for their witty commentary on television highlights. Sid's wife Nasreen has never appeared on the show. Fans took to social media to express their worry over his absence, with one writing on X: 'Glad to see the Siddiquis father back this week, bit worried he's been absent.' Another added: 'Thank god Sid is back - I've been worried all week.'
Other regulars returning for the episode included Jenny and Lee, the Malones, Giles and Mary, Ellie and Izzi, David and Shirley, Amira and Amani, Pete and Sophie, and Abbie and Georgia. New faces sisters Susie and Rosie also joined the cast. The group shared their thoughts on programmes such as Emmerdale and The Inheritance.
Notably absent from the current series are Glasgow duo Roisin Kelly and Joe Kyle, who announced earlier this year that they had been axed from the show. In a social media post, Roisin said: 'After three and a half years of sitting on the sofa Channel 4 have decided it's time for Joe and I to stretch our legs and have not asked us back for season 26.'
