Richard Madeley's welcome

During the show, Richard said: "We've got a new weather guy today! If you are in the Anglia region, you'll know him - he's been doing it for years there. But he's got up very, very early and he's come all the way down from Norwich. Here's Chris with the weather."

Weather forecast highlights

Chris began: "Hello there. Yes, a very good morning to you. We started first thing this morning with some patchy amounts of cloud and also some outbreaks of rain in the north and west." He revealed that temperatures could reach the mid 30s in the southern half of the country, but it would get cooler by the weekend with rain moving north.
