Gethin Jones was left visibly stunned on BBC Morning Live when Casualty star Neet Mohan revealed the show is relocating to Cardiff, a development the Welsh presenter claimed no one had told him about.
During Thursday's episode, Gethin, 48, and co-host Michelle Ackerley spoke to Neet Mohan, who plays Doctor Rash Masum, ahead of the show's 40th anniversary. Casualty, produced at Cardiff's BBC Roath Lock Studios since 2011, is set to move to a new fictional Welsh hospital next year.

Gethin asked: "Speaking of being the location, what's happening with, the hospital's moving, you're moving from Holby City, are you down in Cardiff?" Neet confirmed: "We are, yes, absolutely, Cardiff!" prompting Gethin to ask: "Where are you moving to, what's going on?"
The actor explained: "So it's going to be set in Cardiff, which is great, and I can't say any more than that, but it's a really exciting time." Michelle, 42, then joked: "As a man of Cardiff, how did you not know?" to which a stunned Gethin responded: "No one's told me!"
40th anniversary episodes
The BBC One medical drama, recognised as the world's longest-running series of its type, will mark the milestone this weekend with a special two-part storyline. The opening instalment broadcasts on Saturday 5 September, with a synopsis hinting: "Lives hang in the balance as a huge firebomb lights up the skies of Holby."
