GBBO Viewers Distracted by Contestant's Hair Habit

Great British Bake Off fans were left distracted during Tuesday's bread week episode, as they noticed contestant Nadia repeatedly touching her hair while baking. The moment occurred during the monkey bread challenge, when Nadia, wearing a hot pink shirt and messy ponytail, brushed her hair out of her face while speaking to judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.

Viewers took to social media to express their concerns over hygiene. One wrote: "I really just wanna grab all of Nadia’s hair and tie it up properly!! #GBBO." Another commented: "Stop touching your hair NADIA and then touching the food - disgusting!!!" A third added: "It really bugs me that these women are just letting their hair freely go over the food like that."

Despite the distraction, judge Paul Hollywood praised the overall standard of baking this series, calling it "exceptional" and "borderline-professional from the off." The show has also seen strong viewership, with 5.8 million tuning in for the launch episode earlier this month.

The episode featured signature bakes of monkey bread, a technical challenge for 12 glazed donuts, and a showstopper sweet bread. Ukrainian baker Natalia was crowned Star Baker, while Hassan was the first to leave after his Swiss roll collapsed.
