GB News presenter Beverly Turner has revealed that she and fellow presenter Andrew Pierce "didn't always get on", admitting to a hidden feud during a special appearance on Patrick Christy's Tonight Show. The 52-year-old, who has hosted The Late Show Live in the US since August 2025, returned to the UK to celebrate the broadcaster's fifth anniversary.
On-Air Confession
Sitting beside Andrew Pierce and political commentator Cai Wilshaw, Bev compared the US to the UK, saying: "Our sense of humour, that is what absolutely sets us apart across the world, the best sense of humour in this country." Pointing at Andrew, she confessed: "Him and I didn't always get on, as you knew." Andrew concurred: "You could say that again." The shocked host chuckled, exclaiming: "No! That is breaking news."
Despite the tension, Bev added: "But, we've had some proper belly laughs," with Andrew echoing: "We did." She continued: "You would have seen us sometimes, we just couldn't present the show because we'd got the giggles and that is because you can disagree with people but you often share a sense of humour."
Past Clashes
Andrew recalled: "Particularly when we had silly protestors from Just Stop Oil on the show with their silly campaign ... and we did laugh a lot, and we were told off because you have to be a bit more respectful."
One of their most furious clashes took place live on air over disgraced actor and comedian Russell Brand, who faced allegations of sexual assault from four women, including one who was 16 at the time, dating back to 2006-2013. During Britain's Newsroom, Andrew brought up Bev's social media post defending Brand, in which she said he was being "attacked" by the "Establishment media" and called him a "hero".
Andrew fumed: "You have dismissed in one tweet a four-year investigation by The Sunday Times, The Times and Channel 4, which is contemptuously the mainstream media. A 16-year-old girl has complained of being groomed by this man. Two women have said they were raped, and there are more and more cases coming tonight. And you say, 'you're a hero.' Don't you think before you say someone's a hero? You should establish whether these very serious allegations are true."
Bev retorted: "Before I tweeted that, I had spoken to several sources close to Brand, close to The Times. Had you spoken to those four women?" She added: "Newspapers like yours don't care about that until there's a celebrity involved, and then suddenly it's all over the front page of the paper. Of course, everybody has the right to not be sexually offensive, sexually assaulted. Anybody who has been sexually assaulted, my heart goes out to them."
