During Thursday's episode, Jae and Cherish were given the Early Checkout Card yet triumphed in the Day Trip to Hog Island, where they had to uncover the password 'mermaid' from scattered letters. This followed earlier episodes where Lesley and Gary, also holding the card, won the Room Service challenge before being eliminated later.
Social media erupted with complaints, with one viewer tweeting: 'So YET AGAIN everything that happens, happens to the people with the card and the money. Come on now, it's way beyond a coincidence now.' Another called the show 'boring' and suggested forced case swaps to 'spice it up'.
The pattern has drawn comparisons to BBC One's The Traitors, and some viewers are also frustrated by frequent ad breaks. Despite a successful launch, with new episodes returning from May 20, the show faces growing scepticism over its format.
