Pugh's performance is being hailed as potentially career-defining, following her roles in Midsommar, Little Women, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Last One Laughing: Halloween launches Friday October 23 on Prime Video with the first three episodes, followed by a finale on Friday October 30. The special adds a twist: celebrities must not scream from fear, in addition to not laughing.

ITV's Adultery, from Fool Me Once writer Danny Brocklehurst, is due to premiere in late October. Romola Garai and Dominic Cooper star in a tale of desire that explores the psychological equation: 'Attraction plus an obstacle equals excitement.'
