Former TalkTV presenter Mike Graham has taken a swipe at Susanna Reid's broadcasting skills, prompting a wave of support for the Good Morning Britain host. Graham reshared a clip of Reid interviewing Nadine Dorries on X, formerly Twitter, and wrote: "Because Susanna Reid buys every establishment narrative, she can’t be trusted to ask questions about the real truth... BBC through and through."
The attack came months after Graham stepped back from presenting, following the discovery of a racist post on his Facebook account, which he blamed on a hacker. His comments drew mixed reactions, with some users agreeing with his assessment. One wrote: "She doesn’t buy it. She reads it. That’s it. You’re giving the script readers far too much credit." Another called her a "terrible presenter".
However, many came to Reid's defence. One viewer said: "Susanna Reid is an excellent journalist and presenter who is very good at her job and you can only dream of being as good as she is." Another praised her for "asking all the right questions", while a third applauded her for presenting "the alternative viewpoint clearly".
Graham's departure from TalkTV was also marked by his criticism of the corporation's handling of his exit. In an interview with Dan Wootton Outspokes, he described the statement confirming his departure as "a bit cold" and noted that it did not thank him for his work. He contrasted this with how he would have handled a colleague's departure.
