Eve Myles is back on ITV screens in the new thriller Gone, playing Detective Annie Cassidy. The drama centres on headmaster Michael Polly, portrayed by David Morrissey, who becomes the prime suspect following his wife Sarah's disappearance and murder. Annie is brought in to investigate the case, with Sarah having been strangled and left in woods near her home.
Away from the gritty storyline, the Welsh actress has been married to fellow actor Bradley Freegard since 2013. The couple first met at the National Youth Theatre in the 1990s and now share three children. Freegard is no stranger to television audiences; in 2012 he appeared in EastEnders as Gethin Williams, a role linked to Jane Beale's exit storyline.
His other credits include playing King Canute in Netflix's Vikings: Valhalla and starring opposite Myles in Keeping Faith, where he depicted her on-screen missing husband. He has also featured in Holby City, Hinterland and Under Milk Wood.
Speaking about their relationship in 2009, Freegard said: "I was attracted to her straight away, she's got a fantastic personality and similar sense of humour as me, so we just get on really well." Myles has also recalled their early days: "I couldn't get rid of him, and then he became part of the furniture. He would knock on my dorm-room door all the time with Champagne and glasses he'd pinched from his mother's house. Then one day I realised he was rather handsome!"
