HBO Max has left Euphoria fans emotional with a special announcement: a one-off reflective episode that offers a final look at the beloved series. The special, arriving on July 24, features interviews and behind-the-scenes footage of the show that captured a generation.
Behind-the-Scenes Look Back
On Instagram, HBO Max teased viewers can "relive the feeling" during this retrospective. The video shows stars including Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, Angus Cloud, and others reflecting on their experiences, admitting they were "literal babies" when they first started on the show in 2018 and 2019.
Tributes to Late Stars
The special includes a posthumous appearance by Eric Dane, who played 'McSteamy' and died in February after revealing his ALS diagnosis 10 months earlier. "This show has been the most profound experience of my career," Dane says in the clip. Angus Cloud, who died at 25 in July 2023, also features. Director Sam Levinson used archived footage of Cloud's character Fezco O'Neill in the Season 3 finale, telling The Hollywood Reporter: "I couldn't keep him alive in real life, but I could keep his character alive in the show. I think he'd be very proud of it."
