Emmerdale's Noah Dingle Faces Exit After 22 Years on ITV Soap
Emmerdale's Noah Dingle Faces Exit After 22 Years

Emmerdale character Noah Dingle faces an exit worry next week as new spoilers confirm he's thinking of a fresh start away from the Dales. Jack Downham permanently joined the cast of Emmerdale in October 2009 to play the role of Noah Dingle. Before securing the permanent role as Charity Dingle's son at just six years old, he had previously appeared on the ITV soap opera as a background extra.

Noah's History on the Show

Noah has been a part of the ITV soap since 2004 when he was born on the show. Since then, he's been involved in some major storylines including when he developed a sinister obsession with Chloe Harris after they dated. Noah hacked her phone, stalked her, and harassed her, leading to his arrest. He blamed his mother, Charity Dingle, for turning over the evidence and served a short prison sentence. In 2025, he found himself the victim of Joe Tate's kidney heist. As viewers will recall, Joe had chronic kidney disease and hoped his half-brother Noah would be a match. After drugging Noah and then leaving him stranded in the middle of the road, Charity swerved the limo to avoid him causing the epic Valentine's limo crash which killed three villagers.

Current Developments

Since then, life in the village has been rather quiet for Noah but as new spoilers show he could be looking to head elsewhere for a fresh start, meaning Noah could exit the show after 22 years. After being accused of stealing from Caleb Miligan's depot, which viewers know was a desperate move from Charity after she was being blackmailed by Dr Todd, Noah tells Mack he's considering applying for jobs abroad. There has been no confirmation as of yet that Noah will be leaving the Dales behind, but if he did leave it would be another legacy character spending time away from the village.

New Faces and Returns

While there's been rumours circling over some exits for Emmerdale, the ITV soap has welcomed some new characters and returns. Casey Al-Shaqsy has taken on the role of mysterious newcomer Serena Sugden, which caused suspicion for returnee Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill) who swore he had met her before. After 20 years away from the Dales, Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) will also be returning and hopefully ready to cause some chaos! Patsy shared: "I am really excited to return to Emmerdale. I treasure the years I was here before. Sadie King is a character that I really loved playing. The cast and crew are absolutely brilliant and I am so grateful for the chance to return to the show, it's absolutely amazing."

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 and is also available to stream on ITVX and YouTube from 7am.
