Emmerdale fans are convinced that Nate Robinson, played by Jurell Carter, is the dead body under the lake following the limo crash. A man's hand with a distinctive bracelet was shown as Amy plunged into the water, and before her death, she appeared to try to tell her husband Matty that it was Nate. Carter left the soap in September, but his exit was never shown.
Jurell Carter, 30, from Leicester, initially pursued a football career. At 18, he was offered a partial scholarship to the University of South Carolina Aiken but could not take it due to financial constraints. He told the Mirror: 'It was heartbreaking. I had loved football from the age of three. When I got offered the scholarship... it was amazing but I couldn't find the funds to pay for the rest of it so I couldn't go.'
After training at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Carter landed the role of Nate Robinson in 2019. His character seduced his father Cain Dingle's wife Moira as revenge for being abandoned as a baby. Since leaving Emmerdale, Carter has done TV voiceover work, including for Sephora's Christmas adverts.
Carter keeps his personal life private but once had to clarify that a topless selfie on Instagram was not explicit. He said: 'Let a man live. I was on my spin bike.' He also revealed he lost a stone and a half for shirtless scenes, admitting the sex scenes were 'a bit overwhelming' initially.
