Emmerdale viewers have praised Charity Dingle after she delivered a scathing insult to Chloe Harris during Tuesday night's episode. The Woolpack landlady, played by Emma Atkins, 'put Chloe in her place' following a tense exchange over baby Reuben's christening.
The drama unfolded when Chloe and Mackenzie Boyd were left without a venue for their son's christening. Charity offered the Woolpack, but Chloe scoffed at the suggestion, leading to a heated confrontation near the toilets. Charity quipped, 'Careful who you have your babies with then, eh?' before adding, 'Chloe I promise you one day, you might become an interesting person.'
Chloe retorted, 'What like you were before your mid forties?' Charity then threatened, 'Good luck finding a venue for your christening. Oh and remember, it doesn't have to be here for me to ruin it. I can ruin it wherever it is. And I just might – you know, if it takes my fancy.'

The tension between the characters stems from Mack's affair with Chloe, which produced baby Reuben and wrecked Charity's wedding plans. In a previous episode, Charity announced the relationship to the Woolpack and revealed she had kissed her cousin Caleb Milligan to make Mack jealous.
