Amy Wyatt will resort to desperate measures in a bid to gain full custody of her son Kyle on Emmerdale next week, as the young killer finally learns his fate. Kyle faces a prison sentence after accidentally shooting Al Chapman, and despite his father Cain Dingle taking the blame, he has since confessed.
In upcoming scenes, Amy spontaneously proposes to Matty, who accepts, leaving his mother Moira delighted. However, Moira is furious when Matty confesses his fear that the proposal was part of Amy's plan to gain full custody of Kyle. When Cain finds out, he storms round to Amy's house and bangs on her door, desperate to stop her from barring access to his son.
As the hearing looms, Matty fails to hide his inner conflict when he asks Amy if sole custody of Kyle is the best thing for him. Amy tries to stay strong for terrified Kyle, while a helpless Cain strong arms his way into Keepers to see Kyle, leaving Amy fuming. Seeing how important it is for Cain and Kyle to share a moment, Caleb persuades Amy to relent. Everyone is left on tenterhooks when Kyle's solicitor phones with big news.
Actress Natalie Ann Jamieson, who plays Amy, told Digital Spy: 'Amy sees this as her chance to do everything right and stick to the rules... What becomes more scary for Amy is that she sees a lot of Cain in Kyle. Kyle wants to see his dad and that's quite natural, but he has started hitting out over things, in a way that Amy thinks is similar to how Cain does.'
