Patsy Kensit is reportedly reprising her role as Sadie King on Emmerdale, marking the villain's return to the ITV soap after nearly two decades. The character, who first appeared in 2004 as part of the King family, departed in 2006 after a failed plot against the family.
According to reports, the return has been kept under wraps to surprise fans, with sources describing upcoming scenes as 'explosive'. Sadie, the former wife of Jimmy King, famously teamed up with Cain Dingle to target the Kings, but was double-crossed by Cain, prompting her exit.
Emmerdale has yet to confirm the casting, but viewers have reacted with excitement on social media. One fan wrote: 'SADIE KING IS COMING BACK? OH MY GOODNESS!' while another said: 'Sadie King potentially making a return, ok I am sat for that!'
The news comes amid a current storyline where villain Graham Foster is attempting to kill soap legend Kim Tate by tampering with her medication. Kim collapsed and was hospitalised after Graham swapped her pills for a double dose, though his plan failed.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
