Emmerdale Star Lisa Riley Quashes Exit Rumours, Confirms Long-Term Future

Emmerdale star Lisa Riley has set the record straight on her future with the soap, confirming she has no plans to leave. The 49-year-old, who plays Mandy Dingle, told Heat Magazine that she is signed for a long time, despite uncertainty in the storyline.

Riley also addressed speculation surrounding co-star Bradley Johnson, who portrays Vinny Dingle. Reports in May suggested the 28-year-old had been axed, but Riley told the Daily Express she could not confirm or deny the claims, adding: “That’s not confirmed. I don’t know where that’s come from!”

Meanwhile, fears for Emmerdale’s future have been eased following the reported £1.6bn ITV/Sky deal. Good Morning Britain’s Richard Arnold assured viewers it is “business as normal” for the soap, as well as Coronation Street and other ITV programmes.
