Emmerdale actress Twinnie-Lee Moore has expressed her anger at fashion brand Zara after an outfit caused her hands to turn blue during a live television appearance. The 37-year-old country singer appeared on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch earlier this month wearing a strapless denim top and jeans, but the segment was nearly halted when host Tim Lovejoy noticed her hands had taken on a blueish hue.
In a TikTok video, Moore recounted the ordeal, explaining that she had chosen the outfit herself from Zara and was excited to wear it on the show. During the broadcast, Lovejoy repeatedly checked on her during advert breaks, asking if she was feeling cold or unwell. Moore initially thought she might have Raynaud's disease, a condition affecting blood circulation to the extremities.
It was only later that she realised the blue discolouration was caused by dye from her new Zara clothing. 'Then the penny drops - oh my God, it's the dye off my outfit! And it's live!' she said. Viewers also noticed, with many tweeting concerns that she might be seriously ill. Lovejoy later mentioned on air that he had considered stopping the show to get medical help.
Moore said she is 'raging' about the incident and plans to return the item to Zara. She suggested the brand could make amends by sponsoring a shopping trip for two people who cannot afford their clothing. 'That way you make it up to me and I feel good about giving back to somebody else,' she added.
Moore joined the cast of Emmerdale in October, playing the role of boxing promoter Jade. She has been balancing her music career between Nashville and Yorkshire.
