The summer drama in Emmerdale is intensifying as six leading ladies take centre stage. Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill), Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham), Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), Dawn Fletcher (Olivia Bromley), newcomer Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy) and returning Sadie King (Patsy Kensit) are at the heart of new storylines.
In a new promo photo released by ITV, the actresses are dressed to impress. Katie, who has played Sarah since 2017, puts on a leggy display in a blue wrap dress with a matching hairband, looking worlds away from her character.
Sarah's secret and Charity's confession
Sarah will be pushed to the edge in upcoming scenes as she struggles to hold it together. With the truth of baby Leyla's parentage threatening to reveal itself at any time, her world is set to come crashing down.
Her gran Charity is desperate to protect her family. She becomes caught in a web of lies that threatens to shatter everything she holds dear, culminating in a confession that rocks the village to its core.
Sadie's return and Dawn's wedding
Fan favourite Sadie makes a dramatic return with an agenda. Her arrival sparks surprise as she reveals a startling secret, leaving the village reeling.
Dawn's big day with Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) is fast approaching, but she finds herself caught in the crossfire of a terrible feud. Feeling trapped, she faces a harrowing choice between her present life and the hope of a future.
Serena and Gabby in danger
Newcomer Serena finds herself in an increasingly volatile situation and must decide how much she is willing to lose to protect secrets. Gabby, meanwhile, is struggling to keep things under control, which severely impacts her health and puts her life at risk. A terrible incident leaves her with a moral decision that could destroy the lives of those she cares about.
