Emmerdale is set for dramatic scenes next week as Aaron Dingle's heartbreaking secret is exposed. The character learns he has inherited the faulty BRCA2 gene from his mother Chas, who was recently diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer.
Aaron originally lied to Chas, claiming he tested negative, but the truth comes out after village doctor Liam Cavanagh inadvertently hints at the real result. Chas confronts Aaron, who struggles with his emotions and turns to violence against Liam.
Later, Chas approaches Aaron sensitively, and he confesses that the gene test result feels like a death sentence. With support from Chas and Paddy Kirk, Aaron begins to open up about his fears.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
