Emmerdale fans are set for heartbreaking scenes as Ruby Miligan stumbles upon a possible burial site in an upcoming episode. The discovery comes amid the soap's harrowing modern slavery plot, which has already claimed the life of Anya, a victim of Ray Walters and Celia Daniels.
Anya died months ago after being captured and held at the farm. Following her escape, she was found by Caleb Miligan and Joe Tate, but later recaptured by Ray. Denied medical help for an infection, she passed away and was buried wrapped in Moira Dingle's blanket on Moira's land. The burial spot was marked with a red ribbon bracelet, which Bear Wolf had placed on a tree branch.
In a preview clip, Ruby searches the fields for clues after learning about the ribbon. Despite Caleb's urging to go home, Ruby spots the ribbon tied to a branch and rushes over, discovering disturbed earth. Realising it may be a burial site, a distraught Ruby phones the police to report a possible body.
Friday's episode will show police descending on the scene. Next week, spoilers reveal that officers also find the body of Celia Daniels, murdered by her son Ray. DNA evidence leads to the arrest of Moira Dingle, who faces a fight to prove her innocence.
