One clue was given in the credits, as Nicky was never given a surname by soap bosses—a rarity for any Emmerdale character. Meanwhile, it was confirmed that Caleb's father is the late Frank Tate.
Thursday's instalment laid bare the pair's plans to go after the Tates, with Nicky having already secured a job at Home Farm. Friday's episode saw Caleb and Nicky looking comfortable in Kim Tate's kitchen, but viewers spotted major flaws in their scheming.
