Emmerdale's Aaron Dingle and Robert Sugden may have finally seen off the threat of Kev Townsend, but their troubles are far from over. After Kev's departure, the couple planned to bring baby Seb back into their lives, a decision that angered Ross Barton, who had been like a father to the boy. Tensions escalated when Aaron returned home to find his car windscreen smashed, and he immediately blamed Ross.
However, it soon emerged that Ross was not responsible for the damage, and a mysterious new villain began a reign of terror. The next morning, someone set fire to the trees outside Aaron's flat, and again Ross had an alibi. Robert vowed to uncover the culprit and soon discovered their identity, but whether he can stop them remains to be seen.
On Christmas morning, as villagers gathered outside the Woolpack, Robert vanished after heading off on a mystery errand. Victoria and Aaron grew increasingly concerned as Robert failed to return. Actor Danny Miller teased that viewers would be shocked by the developments, saying, 'There are a lot of moments where you go, oh my God, come on, please, please! Please wake up.'
