Emmerdale villain Dr Caitlin Todd (Caroline Harker) is heading for her final downfall, but not before her horrific actions are exposed. The doctor, who has tormented Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins), will see her crimes come to light in upcoming scenes.
Dr Todd's reign of terror
Dr Todd first appeared as a bullying co-worker making Jacob Gallagher's (Joe-Warren Plant) life miserable. Her cruelty escalated when she discovered Charity's baby secret and used it to blackmail her. Last month, she sexually assaulted Charity, but police said there wasn't enough evidence to charge her, as Todd claimed the encounter was consensual.
Charity has been struggling since the assault, even driving to the woods in despair. Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy) found her and persuaded her to seek help from husband Mack Boyd (Lawrence Robb).
The confrontation
After leaving the village, Dr Todd returned this week, bumping into Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker). Her plan to drop Manpreet off unnoticed was thwarted by Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick), who confronted her about her treatment of Charity. This angered Todd, who decided to visit Charity.
In upcoming scenes, Charity bravely orders Todd to leave her home, but Todd threatens legal action. Charity demands a confession, but Todd refuses, threatening to reveal baby Leyla's parentage to Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill). As the argument escalates, Charity calls Todd a rapist, unaware that someone has entered the cottage and heard everything.
Who is the witness?
The identity of the silent listener remains a mystery, but they could be the key to Dr Todd's demise. Will they expose the truth and bring justice for Charity?
