Next week's Emmerdale sees Cain Dingle undergo cancer surgery, but his recovery is overshadowed by a shocking revelation. After learning that Robert Sugden planted the identity documents that led to Moira's arrest, Cain plots revenge. With help from Sam, Cain attacks Robert and ties him to a chair. As Robert regains consciousness, he finds Cain wielding a hammer, demanding that Robert 'pay' for his actions.
Meanwhile, Dr Todd continues to cause trouble. After Jacob Gallagher apologises for their feud, Todd accepts but soon turns her attention to Charity Dingle. Todd threatens to expose that Charity and Ross are Leyla's genetic parents unless Charity pays her £10,000. Charity panics further when she sees Todd kissing Vanessa Woodfield, whom Todd had earlier agreed to date after Mary played matchmaker.
Elsewhere in the village, Bear and Mandy join the depot, but Jai's words trigger Bear's trauma from the farm. Bob panics when he discovers he is a player short for the men's darts team, but is relieved when Lewis joins, claiming to have played darts before.
