Wednesday Stars Tease Enid and Agnes Friendship After Season 2 Finale

In Netflix's Wednesday, the rivalry between Enid (Emma Myers) and Agnes (Evie Templeton) took centre stage in season 2, but by the end, the pair had forged an unlikely friendship. The season saw Enid, Wednesday's werewolf best friend, become territorial when Agnes, a young student with invisibility powers, emerged as Wednesday's stalker and obsessed admirer.

Despite their initial clashes, Enid and Agnes eventually joined forces to help Wednesday. In the season finale, they performed a dance routine to Lady Gaga's 'Dead Dance' to distract Principal Dort (Steve Buscemi) and save Nevermore Academy. Speaking exclusively to RadioTimes.com, Myers and Templeton expressed relief at their characters' evolving dynamic.

“I loved that we could be friends. I know, finally! Because Enid just argues with everybody,” Myers said. “I'm so glad that by the end of it, we're not at each other's throats, and we can be genuine friends.” Templeton added: “I was a huge fan of the first season, so to get to go from being a fan to getting to be a part of the show that you love was amazing.”

The actresses also hinted at future developments, with Templeton expressing interest in seeing a trio dynamic between Enid, Wednesday, and Agnes. “I think that would be really cool to see how their friendship develops,” she said. Myers noted that Enid's realisation of Agnes's struggles with identity helped soften her character, leading to genuine support.

Season 2 of Wednesday is streaming now on Netflix.
