Emily in Paris is looking for 500 extras to appear in its upcoming fifth season, but the casting call has raised eyebrows over its strict physical requirements.
The notice asks for women who are 'beautiful' with a lean physique and a dress size between six and ten, while the official call also specifies 'size from 38 to 42'. Men are required to be size 46–52, and all applicants must be 'well-groomed, dry body, attractive'.
The Netflix hit, starring Lily Collins, usually shoots in Paris, but production has moved to Italy following her character's relocation to Rome. Scenes are being filmed at Venice landmarks including the Grand Canal, Hotel San Daniele and the Basilica of Santi Giovanni and Paolo, so a large number of background artists are needed to fill tourist areas.
Fans have until midnight on 20 August to apply. News of the casting comes as Collins was seen on set with her four-month-old daughter Tove, while co-star Lucien Laviscount has teased that the new series will be 'one to watch'.
