EastEnders is set for dramatic scenes next week as concern grows for missing resident Eve Unwin. Stacey Slater fears the worst after receiving a Christmas card from her stalker Theo Hawthorne, leading her to accuse him of harming Eve. However, police later confirm Theo is in Scotland, ruling him out as a suspect.
Theo recently pleaded guilty to stalking and attempting to rape Stacey, but she tricked him into confessing by promising they could be together. Now, Stacey's fear that Theo may have returned for revenge drives her to report her suspicions to the police, but they say there is nothing they can do.
Meanwhile, a character returns to Walford for the first time in seven years. Jade Wicks, daughter of Dean Wicks and Shabnam Masood, arrives amid Dean's own recent comeback. Jade, who has cystic fibrosis, heads to The Vic and later visits her brother Zaair's grave, making a disturbing discovery that leaves her disgusted.
Dean has been tormenting Linda Carter, denying he raped her in 2014, and is plotting to trick her into a false confession. Jade's return adds a new layer of tension as she appears unaware of her father's crimes.
Two other residents become embroiled in a feud weeks before one could be killed off, while another character's deadly actions look set to come to light. The twists come ahead of the soap's big Christmas storyline.
