Michelle Collins, best known for playing Cindy Beale on EastEnders, was taken to hospital early yesterday morning following a health scare. The 60-year-old actress updated fans on Twitter, thanking NHS staff at the Royal Free Hospital for their care.
Collins wrote: 'Thank you @nhs @RoyalFreeNHS for seeing me this morning at 9 am, been a Worrying time but hopefully now all ok.' She also issued a plea to the government, saying: 'When it works the @NHSEngland is fantastic! Don’t destroy it #Tories #savethenhs.'
Later, Collins shared a photo of the view from her hotel in north Devon, where she is beginning a new filming project. She captioned it: 'Beautiful View from my hotel in north Devon today. #firstday #filming.'
Fans sent well-wishes in response to her earlier post, with many expressing support and echoing her views on the NHS. Last year, Collins visited a walk-in clinic for another health issue and praised the staff for their efficiency.
In addition to EastEnders, Collins has appeared in Coronation Street, Casualty, and Doctor Who.
