EastEnders' Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan-Levy) takes matters into her own hands this week to discover whether Max Branning (Jake Wood) or Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) is the father of her unborn baby. After secretly hooking up with Max for months, Priya recently got engaged to ex Ravi, only to discover she is pregnant.
With Ravi unaware of the affair, he believes he is the father, but serious consequences loom if he is not. Priya enlists the help of Jean Slater (Gillian Wright), the only other person who knows about the affair, to obtain samples from both men for a secret paternity test during a donor drive for Denise Fox's (Diane Parish) stem cell transplant at the community centre.
Ravi's reported exit
That evening, Priya and Ravi reaffirm their love, as she hopes he will be the father. However, reports suggest actor Aaron Thiara is set to leave EastEnders after four years, with his character departing Walford early next year to pursue other projects.
Ravi is expected to remain for events building toward the New Year's Day flashforward episode. With 2027 opening on a mystery gunman holding Max's kids Lauren Beale (Jacqueline Jossa) and Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier) hostage, the question arises whether Ravi will seek revenge on his love rival.
