EastEnders delivered one of its biggest cliffhangers yet as Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) was left reeling after learning that daughter Nancy (Maddy Hill) is pregnant - and that her biological brother Lee (Danny Hatchard) is the father. The former Queen Vic landlady had been overjoyed to see Nancy, last seen in 2022, return to the Square, but her happiness quickly turned to shock when Lee walked through the door to confirm the news.
Linda's shock and the truth revealed
Linda, who has longed for a grandchild, wasted little time in quizzing Nancy - who had previously told her mum she didn't want kids - about who the father was. Nothing could have prepared her for Lee's arrival. In Tuesday's episode, Linda learns what is really going on and is left in complete and utter shock.
Johnny (Charlie Suff), who has been helping Nancy, arrives soon after and, with help from Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe), attempts to smooth things over with Linda. Linda, meanwhile, decides to be honest with her kids, revealing she is in a relationship with Max Branning (Jake Wood) in the hopes they will be more truthful with her about their comeback.
Other Walford drama
Elsewhere, Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) struggled to get used to having Ned Hawkins (Jamie Bamber) as her new business partner after he essentially blackmailed her into owning half the club. After some time to think, Nicola apologises to her sister Gemma (Patricia Potter), following their run-in. Ned, meanwhile, gathers the clan at Harry's Barn and unveils their dad's framed medal to taunt Nicola, but she doesn't take the bait, much to his shock.
George Knight (Colin Salmon) attempts to calm things down with Nicola, while over at the Vic, Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) tries to get through to Kat (Jessie Wallace), who is struggling in the wake of Zoe's (Michelle Ryan) death, but she continues to push him away. Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman), meanwhile, takes on too much as he tries to support Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) by cleaning the chippy ahead of the inspection, while Lily Slater (Lillia Turner) received help from him as she attempted to work out her career path.
