In Monday's episode, Teddy confronted Phil about the secret deal, asking, 'What happened to family loyalty?' Phil responded with a steely gaze, having earlier said, 'My business, I do what I want.' The tension follows Phil allowing his ex-wife Sharon Watts to date Teddy, while another ex, Kat Slater, rekindles with Alfie Moon.
Viewers have taken to social media to express their dread, with one writing, 'KILL PHIL OFF EASTENDERS YOU WILL BE DONE #EastEnders.' Another said, 'Phil Mitchell sad and suicidal at Christmas...' A third added, 'I have noticed in this week that's just gone Phil hasn't been his usual self.'
